Lying exactly half way on the main line between London and Glasgow / Edinburgh, Preston Station provides extensive intercity connections to Manchester, Lancashire and Yorkshire, the Lake District and the Fylde coast. The city is similarly well served by the national motorway network.
With extensive Crown Courts in the city centre and barristers’ chambers located on Winckley Square, Preston is frequently at the core of many of England’s high profile and lengthy criminal court cases.
