To preserve the 19th century historic design integrity of Ivy House, the refurbishment of the Lower Ivy apartment is arranged such that it is not totally self-contained, sharing a communal hallway with the apartment above. Both the living room to the south and bedroom and bathroom to the north of the hallway corridor may be locked independently for your comfort and security.


The sunny 300sq.ft living room to the right of the hall contains a fully equipped kitchenette, dining suite and comfortable living area with cable TV. A feature gas fire, multimedia library and spectacular views across Avenham Park and the Ribble Valley, together with restored period fittings combine to provide our guests with a gracious living experience. 

To the north side of the spacious, top lit hall, a short corridor leads onto the 195sq.ft double bedroom, and also a generous shower bathroom, and separate laundry facilities. There is also direct access to the apartments’ private rear courtyard and the Overleigh House garden which are always open for our guests’ enjoyment.

A tasteful mixture of period and modern fixtures and furniture surround the king size bed providing all the comforts of home including a television The original Victorian fireplace has been restored for decorative effect. The bathroom is fitted with a heated towel rail and a large walk-in shower fed from the gas fired combi boiler above the WC.

The Lower Ivy apartment offers a total of 675sq.ft of comfort in which to relax in private during your visit to Preston.
